For the last 25 years the health and fitness industry has been my chosen profession. My passion for sports became apparent at an early age as I challenged myself with everything athletic. Baseball, soccer, basketball and even BMX racing filled my early years, along with countless hours spent outside with friends exploring and playing any game we could dream up. Athletics remained a major piece of my world through college and upon graduation from Oklahoma University, with a Liberal Arts Degree, I moved into a natural career path as a personal trainer in Dallas, Texas. This early path led me into the big box gyms that were gaining popularity in the 1990’s and I caught the bodybuilding bug and rode that wave for more than 10 years. This ” wave ” was often out of control. Since 2006, I have lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma and my life has been one of recovery and from the ground up, reawakening both my mind and body through the study of movement. My training journey has included numerous opportunities, experiences and certifications. I currently hold certifications from NSCA, MovNat Level 2, MovNat Combatives, Mount Madonna Yoga Institute, FMS and have studied Anusara Yoga, Iyengar Yoga and the hardstyle kettlebell techniques of the RKC extensively. My focus now lies in being both a teacher and student of natural movement and I am currently studying in year two of the Nutritious Movement Restorative Exercise Specialist Program. Practicing efficiency in movement, optimal alignment, patience and mixing in a large serving of play with my son seems to be a great formula for success.
